La tâche principale consiste à garder et à exercer la surveillance des biens, meubles et immeubles contre le feu, le vol et les dommages.

Attributions caractéristiques


La personne salariée de cette classe d'emplois effectue des rondes d'inspection, selon des horaires prédéterminés; elle s'assure que les portes et fenêtres sont verrouillées et que les lumières sont éteintes; elle doit faire rapport à la direction de toutes irrégularités et de toutes défectuosités susceptibles de comporter des risques ou des dangers de dommages à la propriété. Elle est également préposée à la réception des visiteurs; elle doit exercer une surveillance sur les entrées et sorties des visiteurs, du personnel, des élèves et des résidents, le cas échéant. Elle marche dans les couloirs et s’assure que les élèves sont en classe. Elle surveille les caméras de vidéosurveillance. Dans l'accomplissement de ses fonctions, elle doit maintenir, au besoin, l'ordre et la discipline, répondre aux appels téléphoniques, transmettre les messages et les documents qui lui sont confiés. Elle peut également agir à titre de portier, veilleur de nuit ou gardien de terrain de stationnement. Au besoin, elle accomplit toute autre tâche connexe.


Qualifications requises

Gardes de sécurité certifiés 

Autres qualifications

Être capable de rédiger des rapports simples.

Posséder des notions de base de règles de sécurité.

Connaissance et expérience avec la suite Microsoft 365: Teams, Outlook

NATURE OF THE WORK

The main task consists in safeguarding and overseeing movable and immovable property against fire, theft and damages.


CHARACTERISTIC FUNCTIONS


The employee will make inspection rounds according to predetermined schedules; they make sure that doors and windows are locked and that lights are turned off; they must report to management any irregularities or deficiencies involving risk or damage to property.


They are also assigned the duty of receiving visitors. They oversee the comings and goings of visitors, staff and students. They are walking the halls and ensuring students are in class. They are monitoring the video surveillance cameras. As part of their duties, they are required to maintain order and discipline, answer telephone calls, convey messages and forward documents entrusted to them. They may also be required to act as a doorman, night watchman or parking lot attendant. If need be, they perform any other related duty.
