Job Overview
Under the general direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Delivery Driver is responsible for delivery/pickup of product throughout southwestern Ontario. Providing a superior delivery service for Danby’s retail consumers.
You will do:
Deliver and pick up local sales orders daily to local businesses throughout Southern Ontario
Responsible for loading shipments daily with Pump cart/Hand Cart and ensure load is secure for transport
Coordinating deliveries with customers over the phone/email
Process deliveries with Delivery software and Danby procedures
Interact with customers and provide excellent Customer Service with each delivery
Understand the features and benefits of Danby products
Resolve any problems/issues with customers that may arise ie. delivery issues
Communicate Daily with Danby Truck Coordinator/Shipping Clerk via email/phone
Responsible for gas receipts and log books updated Daily for tracking and accounting.
Qualifications Required:
- Post-secondary education
- 2 years of relevant experience with a focus on customer service preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management, prioritization, leadership and communication skill
- Appliance experience is an asset
- A valid G driver’s license with a driving record in good standing
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Computer skills are an asset.
Working Conditions:
The Delivery Driver works in various retail settings and drives a truck. This individual spends much of their time in both sitting and standing positions.
