Full Job Description
Salary: ₦150,000.00 - ₦300,000.00 per month
Expected Start Date: 12/06/2023
Location: Abuja
· Conducting various tests on devices and equipment to ensure they function properly.
· Setting up newly purchased equipment before they are displayed in the showroom for sale.
· Write technical dossier on the various equipment and storing the information in a retrievable form.
· Comprehensive oversight of the up-to-date maintenance and calibration of all medical equipment as per the requirements.
· Supervision of the mechanical/electrical and heavy duty/medical equipment in the showroom.
· Create monthly plan with weekly break-down, which will in turn, translate to daily tasks for each staff in the Biomed Unit.
· Draf maintenance, repair and warrantee programs for the purpose of executing contract with customers/clients to generate income.
· Establish cordial business relationship with existing customers and prospects for the purpose of generating income for the company.
· Organize technical training for junior staff and customers and ensure they acquire adequate knowledge that is needed to for the job and to operate equipment efficiently.
· Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance procedures are strictly adhered to.
· Utilize best practice major maintenance tools and procedures.
· Analyze current procedures and activities to identify and present opportunities for improvement of the showroom.
· Ensure that the department is adequately staffed to achieve objectives, and that Biomedical Engineers are aware of procedures for using new products and equipment.
· Create a reporting system that enhance data storage and retrieval system and ensure implementation in the department.
· Facilitate the orientation of new team members in collaboration with the HR/Admin Officer by familiarizing them with work surroundings, explaining work hours, procedures, use of equipment and job expectations and ensure that new team members understand their respective duties.
· Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and other materials in the showroom.
· Facilitate the training and development of team members in the department by providing feedback and coaching to support improvements in their job performance.
· Conduct annual Performance Appraisal for Workshop Personnel.
· Provide advice and technical assistance to team members.
· Evaluate the impact of work delays, interruptions or changes in plans to develop appropriate course of actions.
· Monitor workflow to anticipate impact of delays due to team members being absent for leaves, holidays or sickness.
· Review customer's service orders and inspect the quality of a technician repairs before the release of equipment's.
· Review work orders to ensure that all actions have been documented according to Service Workshop policies and procedures.
· Plan and adjust the workloads of department personnel to match their skills and abilities.
· Plan and prepare annual budget for the department and facilities, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
· Follow up closely during implementation.
· Coordinate with sales department and arrange for delivery of equipment to customers.

· Excellent problem-solving skills for addressing problems in complex systems.
· The ability to use hi-tech laboratory equipment.
